Brazilian youngster Endrick Felipe is still training, learning and waiting patiently for his next chance, the Italian boss has confirmed.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Endrick Felipe must continue to work and wait for his chance after the Brazilian forward struggled to make an impact despite the Los Blancos struggling with injuries, Diario AS reported on Friday.

Endrick moved to Real Madrid from Palmeiras this summer for an initial fee of €40m plus €20m in add-ons, but Ancelotti has rarely used the 18-year-old forward, despite the Los Blancos struggling with a number of injuries. Endrick has missed seven of the last 12 games.

Asked if he should rotate more players, especially with a young player like Endrick, the Italian replied: ‘It’s true, I can rotate some players, but when I have 14 or 15 players in the squad, I rotate very little and it’s not always good to include some players if they are young.

‘There’s a lot of talk about Endrick, the amount of minutes, blah blah blah. There’s a lot of talk, but I also have to think about when to bring players in, whether it will help them and blah blah blah, but it’s not easy. If I have only a few players, it’s normal to rotate less.’

Ancelotti also revealed he was not bothered by criticism of giving young players too few chances. Saying: ‘No, no, because that’s not true. That’s why I’m not bothered.’

Asked about the possibility UFABET of Endrick leaving on loan in January. Ancelotti dismissed the idea and insisted the player will have to keep working to find playing time.

‘It’s not just him who has to work, everyone has to work. He’s very young and he’s got one of the best strikers in the world in front of him. You have to be patient. Of course he wants to play more, but he’s not asking for more. Let him learn like this.’
